♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖♜ ♖

Name: Dorothy Galiaskarova
Age: 17
Gender: female
Height: 173 cm
Weight: 55kg
Nationality: Russian
Year: Junior

Alias: Matryoshka
Element: Water
Weapon: Matryoshka/Nesting Dolls
( Nicknamed Dee and Dum. Like Matryoshka, they consist of layers--the more they're damaged, the weaker (and more demented) they become as if layers are stripped away. She can control both at a time but it's highly preferable to just use one and keep the other in reserve since controlling two at a time requires more focus.)
*Somewhat inspired by the Matroshka experiments. The layers stripping off thing...
Level: 1
Stats: Str: 7 | Spd: 21 | Vit: 10 |Def: 0 | Int: 10 | Lck: 12

Skills:
Twintweedle (normal skill) sends 1-2 dolls after a target to deal a series of quick but weak blows.
замедлять (special skill) Miniature versions of Dee and Dum emerge from the original dolls and attach to both the caster and the target. | a debuff skill that lowers the speed of a target. After the effect wears off the target, the caster will experience a reflected(weakened) version (50% of target's decrease) for the same duration.

Personality:
+ Nurturing toward others. She wants to see her peers succeed, whether it be academically, personal, health-wise, etc. Though she may not be obvious about it.
+ Studious/Hard-working
+ Independent
- She doesn't express herself very well both naturally and due to the language barrier. Her Japanese is quite poor so it’s not uncommon for her to be easily misunderstood and vice-versa. Also, since she wasn’t properly taught the language, she does speak very irregularly such as referring herself by name(similar to third person) or “this person”(kono hito) since she has difficulty understanding the different pronouns.
- She’s quite blunt and can come off as harsh (compared to the subtly of most Japanese), though doesn't take well to being harshly criticized herself.
- She also tends to display eccentric behavior such as speaking to dolls as if they were alive (usually in Russian). When you grow up lacking friends... well...

Likes/Dislikes:
♥ Ballet/Circus/Theater
♥ Pirog/пиро́г (Russian Pie)
♥ Handcrafted Dolls (though she’s become fond of Japanese dolls as well especially hinaningyo and teruterubozu)
♥ Reading
- When girls act cutesy (she doesn't get Japan's "kawaii" culture) or when guys look too effeminate (not really a dislike but she finds it really weird when a guy is more girly than...well... a girl)
- Noodle-based dishes (ramen, udon, etc... she has nothing against the taste. Just had bad experiences being called a noodlehead. )
- People assuming she's an alcoholic/drinks vodka all the time because she's Russian. Or other stereotypes.
- Having to take her shoes off inside certain buildings and having to swap them. (She's baffled by shoe lockers...)

History: will elaborate on this/rewrite later gomen it's 7am screechcd

Dorothy was born in Russia to a lower-class family, her father worked as a janitor for a theater while her mother worked as a seamstress. She didn't attend school regularly because she had to help out her parents when possible whether it be sweeping leftover snacks from the theater floor or hemming up a couple skirts. She didn't mind it too much though, from helping her father she gained a love for ballet (and practiced in between sweeps!) and from her mother she became an above average seamstress for a girl her age.

Since she didn't attend school regularly she often fell behind in school work which lead to poor marks. She wasn't by all means stupid--and for the record she enjoys learning. She just didn't have the time to attend; her father and mother didn't mind the grades though they did make sure she studied enough at home and bought her books to read as gifts when they had a little extra to spare. Since she didn't have time to go out or really make friends, she grew to adore reading/learning.

Of course growing up she didn't have anyone she could really call a friend. She got along with people and made acquaintances but she never was the type to have a best friend, get invited over to sleepovers/parties, or have lunch dates. She became very independent because of this though she does wish to have friends to call her own.

By a stroke of luck when she was in her early teens, an investor happened upon her mother's seamstress shop where they noticed some dolls that she and her mother made as simple window decorations. Convinced that their simple but quirky design would appeal to consumers, they decided to sponsor/commercialized them--eventually they met success. Over the last few years they managed to establish their brand with hobby collectors and wishing to expand their market to other counties, they decided to start in Japan since it is known for liking such collectibles.

And so Dorothy currently resides in Japan mainly for business reasons but she's also trying to take advantage of the opportunity to make friends and just enjoy the normal school life she never got to experience as a child. Though she's victim to some racism (she's lost count the number of times people assumed she was a tourist/gaijin and spoke about her in plain sight), she's eager to see what the country has to offer her.

TLDR
- Feels isolated, yearns to regain/catch up on missed aspects of childhood, somewhat (unconsciously) resentful toward parents for depriving her of it, homesick...
- She's been in Japan for a little over a year. ( Her spoken Japanese is equivalent to about 2-3 years of high school Japanese, though her writing/reading is very poor... laughs o<-< )

Other:
Seiyuu: Aya Endo ( youtu.be/C_LVH0okNRs?t=2m6s long-haired girl)
Trivia:
♥ She's based off an old/unused OC, if you happen to chance upon her old art you can see I tried to retain similar aspects whether literally pulling from the design or doing so in an abstract manner.
♥ Her name is a reference to Dorothy Gale from the Wizard of Oz and she has a preference for red shoes. (Along with a yearn to, perhaps, return home? Hahahaha!) She's also somewhat Alice in Wonderland-inspired, her dolls are generally named or at least reference characters (A girl thrown into a foreign land..) and her color scheme is card-suit inspired.
♥ Her normal look is uh... I wanted to draw octopus hair not gonna lie-- her alt is suppose to have a squid/crab look. dgsfsgh ( totally not inspired by the fact I had seafood the other day..)
♥ She tends to carry a Japanese dictionary with her 2/47 so she can flip through it when needed hahahaaaa.
♥ Ironically physically strong(like athletically) for normal self, but her alt form is not. Not into sports though ballet's pretty strenuous .
♥ Her eyesight isn't too bad but she's slightly farsighted so she requires glasses for reading books and generally wears them at school.
♥ I've always wanted to play a character to struggles with language-- and to make her butcher words, end up saying things that sound similar to other words with completely different meanings. ( ex. A common mistake she makes is using shinitai instead of shiritai-- )
♥ Kinda a nod to how foreign exchange students in anime tend to be English or Russian... LOsdgj
♥ Her alt form moves similar to a person on stilts.
